Odoom began his journey by tutoring business students and coaching startup founders. His desire to make a tangible impact led him to offer consulting services that bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world business applications.
Edem Avotri, with over two decades of experience in the financial sector, saw the potential to complement Kofi’s vision with his own deep expertise in financial management, project structuring, and leadership. Together, they formed Avotri Odoom & Co. LLC, creating a firm that combines financial insight, strategic advisory, and a passion for helping businesses succeed.

Edem Avotri, PhD, MBA, CMA
Managing Partner
Edem brings over two decades of experience in the financial industry, with a career that began as a stockbroker and progressed through key leadership roles, including Investment Manager and Vice President of Commercial Banking. He holds a Ph.D. in Global Leadership and an MBA in Finance, combining deep academic knowledge with hands-on financial expertise. As a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Edem upholds the highest standards of financial integrity and performance.
Throughout his career, Edem has been recognized for his strengths in deal structuring, financial analysis, and project management. His innovative approach and strategic insight have consistently driven success across a wide range of financial initiatives.
Kofi E. Odoom
Founder & Managing Principal
Kofi Odoom is a seasoned entrepreneur and the Founder & Managing Principal of Avotri Odoom & Co. LLC, a strategic advisory firm specializing in CFO services, financial planning & analysis, and capital formation. With over a decade of experience, Kofi advises early-stage and growth companies on how to prepare for and secure both debt and equity financing—from investor-ready business plans and detailed financial models to due diligence support and lender negotiations.
Kofi has successfully structured and submitted over $750 million in funding requests, including complex deals for plant and equipment, land development, and construction. His deep understanding of the capital stack, coupled with his background in commercial credit and risk assessment, makes him a trusted partner to founders, private investors, and financial institutions alike.
